What to Expect
Step inside the Scryer Barrelhouse for a guided rum tasting led by one of Scryer's owners. You'll learn about the brand's story, the art of rum maturation, and how different casks shape the character of each expression, while getting a behind-the-scenes look at current and upcoming projects.
During the experience, you'll sample three unique rums, including Scryer's signature expression and two cask-strength selections drawn directly from Port and Sherry barrels. You'll also take home a complimentary Scryer Glencairn tasting glass.
After the tasting, you're welcome to relax in the Barrelhouse bar or head up to Scryer's tropical rooftop for a handcrafted cocktail. Located in the heart of Old San Juan, it's the perfect way to experience Puerto Rican rum, local hospitality, and one of the city's most unique tasting experiences.

You can book your rum tour up to 2–3 months in advance, depending on availability. We recommend reserving early, especially for weekends and peak travel seasons, as tours often sell out.

All guests must book their tour in advance through our online scheduling system. We do not accept walk-ins, as each tour has limited availability and advance reservations help us provide the best possible experience.

Yes. You may reschedule or cancel your reservation up to 24 hours before your scheduled tour. Changes or cancellations made within 24 hours of the tour are not eligible.

Yes. While street parking in Old San Juan is limited, several public parking garages are just a short walk from Scryer Rum Barrelhouse, including Doña Fela Parking Garage, Paseo Portuario Parking Garage, and La Puntilla Parking Lot. We recommend using one of these garages, especially on weekends and during peak travel seasons

Yes. Underage guests are welcome to attend; however, due to the limited capacity of each tour, please contact us at info@scryerrum.com to confirm space is available before booking. Guests under the legal drinking age in their country of residence may join the experience but will not be served alcohol.

Yes! Bottles of Scryer Rum are available for purchase after your tour. Since Scryer is not yet available for online purchase, this is a great opportunity to take a bottle home directly from the Barrelhouse while you're visiting Old San Juan.
